How can you get the best out of your hire car?
Top Tip #1
Book early, booking car hire is not like booking flights where the closer to departure the cheaper they get (assuming there are any left). The longer you wait to book your required dates the more likely it is that not only will the choice of cars be reduced but, the price may go up because demand will be high and supply low!
Top Tip #2
Book the correct size of car. T his will depend on how many are in your party and how far you will be travelling in the car. It also depends on how big the party members are. If you are a party of four 6' plus rugby players then you'll need a car with more leg room (front and back) than a party of four 5' 3" girls on the go - except of course in the luggage department maybe!
Top Tip #3
Remember to take the original copy of your driving licence, including both parts if you hold a UK licence. this may seem so obvious but you'd be surprised at the number of people who turn up with either a copy of their licence or, having forgotten it altogether! The desk staff will not be able to give you a car as they would be breaking the law and invalidating the insurance. |
